It has to be someone that can actually talk to people who can make the decision. It won't help if "tech support" sees it, they'll tell you to check your cables. ![]() They don't need to physically be next to the servers.Īll the data is below, but my question to you guys is: How do we get 2K to add more server locations? We need someone "higher up" to see this. Since it's a cloud service, this can be done easily - it's all managed remotely. Basically to reallocate some of their CPU/networking resources from the Virginia data-center to the Frankfurt data-center. In order to fix the horrible lag we're experiencing they don't even need to find a new hosting company, buy hardware or fix their code - they just have to modify their existing deal with the same hosting company. The reason why I call it unnecessary is because they can fix it pretty easily if they want to: 2K uses AWS (Amazong Web Services) to host their servers, and AWS has servers worldwide.īut 2K only uses the server in Virginia, regardless of where in the world you're playing from. ![]() After checking the results from the previous thread, it's clearly obvious that all non-Americans (and some Americans) get a bad online experience due to unnecessary lag.
